iXBRL:  Your Choices                                  explained.

What is iXBRL

XBRL (extensible Business Reporting Language) is a data standard for financial reporting overseen by XBRL international. It was devised in 1999 as a way of transferring financial information between electronic systems. HMRC in UK has adopted a new variant on XBRL: iXBRL and since April 1st 2011, Company Tax Returns must be filed online using iXBRL format for accounts and computations.
