New Capital Requirements: Join the briefing
Arkk Solutions are teaming up with leading financial regulatory consultants Bovill to bring you the latest news on the New Capital Requirements
When: March 8th, 2018
Where: Bovill, 82 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8HA
Time: 8am – 9:30am (breakfast included)
Toward the end of 2017, you’ll have heard about the EBA’s proposal for a new prudential regime:
“The 2015 Investment Firms Report concluded that the CRD IV framework raises various issues regarding the reporting regime for investment firms, and the current reporting requirements are excessively burdensome, particularly for small firms.”
Subject to approval, these changes are likely to be implemented later this year, impacting reporting requirements in 2019.
Responding to feedback on the complexity of the existing framework, the EBA propose to provide a “new, simple, and proportionate reporting scheme” (Final Report, 2017). Whilst this means that some investment firms should see a simplification to their regulatory reporting, others could see an increase in their requirements.
As with any new regulation, preparing and planning early is the best way to get ahead. That’s why we’ve partnered with Bovill to present a morning briefing on the new requirements. We’ll cover the latest news from the EBA, how this impacts investment firms, and where the requirements fit with existing frameworks.
We’ll also delve further into the Class system, which will set the parameters around reporting in 2019.
During our briefing, we will go through the key issues of the proposed new regime, setting out:
• What is changing (and why)
• Who is affected
• How the changes will affect you
• What should you do to prepare
We’ll be closing the session with a short panel, where regulatory specialists from Bovill and Arkk Solutions will discuss the upcoming proposals, and give their views on what implementation will look like.
